Miles for Mentoring Bike Ride

Sonoma Valley now boasts its very own Bike Festival and Charity Bike Ride, and this year there will an option for every level of cyclist. The Saturday September 18th Sonoma Springs Bike Festival also features a post ride lunch and beer garden for everyone who pre-registers for the ride! The event is in support of the Sonoma Valley Mentoring Alliance and the Sonoma Valley Bicycle Coalition, which helps produce the event.

Here’s a rundown of the 3 Bike Ride options for the 2010 “Miles For Mentoring” Bike Rides:
  •  9 am:  25-mile ride:  out-and-back to Bouchaine Winery.  $50 fee includes lunch if registered by  September 14th
  •  9 am: 50k “EXTRA CREDIT” option ride adds Lovall Valley Loop.  $50 fee includes lunch if registered by September 14th
  •  10am:  Family Fun Ride: 7-mile out and back to Gundlach Bundschu Winery. $25 fee includes lunch if registered by September 14th        
  • Children 12 & Under:  $10 fee for any ride, includes a child’s plate lunch if registered by September 14th.
The Bike Rides begin and end in Depot Park, where the Bike Festival will follow at 11 am, with vendor booths, entertainment, kids activities and the post-ride lunch. This year, Wine Valley Cyclery is teaming up with Cannondale as the title sponsor the event, and Cannondale will bring in a collection of demo-bikes for cyclists to check out!
